Crisp Honey Salmon

This recipe is best when you plan in advance. I marinade the fish overnight, and it makes all the difference. The key to delicious salmon, imho, is that it is cooked to perfection, not overdone. Follow the directions below, and you will have found your new, best salmon recipe!

Ingredients:
Salmon (any cut will do)
Honey
Garlic Powder
Salt
Black Pepper
Soy Sauce

Directions:
-Place salmon in the tin/pan you will cook it in
-Spice generously with salt, pepper and garlic powder
-Sprinkle soy sauce, and then generously pour honey so that the entire fish is coated
-Cover with foil, and refrigerate overnight
-The next day: preheat oven to 425
-Bake salmon, uncovered for 17 minutes

  1. Just wondering if you use real soy sauce? I heard from someone who cooks a lot gluten-free food that she uses Tamari sauce instead because it's gluten free. But I told her that my father, who has celiac, eats soy sauce (La Choy brand) and he's fine, because "wheat" isn't listed on the ingredient list of that particular brand while other brands do. Just curious as to what you use...

    1. I used La Choy, which is gluten free. But Tamari sauce is great too! San J makes a great one! Thanks for following my blog, stay tuned!

  2. I was JUST telling somebody that the key to a great salmon is cooking it for the exact right amount of time. Wonder where I got that idea from :)

  3. Using Honey as a main ingredient can never go wrong! Natural sweeteners set the whole dish on a different pace!
